Paging Dagger...Party of FOUR??!?!!?!?

Crazy.  Afraid.  Uncertain.  Disbelief.  Anxious.  Worried.  Excited.  Anticipation.  Wonder.  LOVE!

I imagine those might be some of the words, feelings, thoughts that race through a woman's head and heart when they find out they're pregnant and as they experience their body changing in preparation for bringing a new life into this world.

I know, for sure, those are some of the words, feelings, and thoughts that are racing through my head and heart right now.  Sam and I are beginning the process of bringing home another child and making
them a part of our family.  We are adopting...again!

Proverbs 16:9- "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."

Prayer Requests-
1. Pray for our future son or daughter and for their family.  That they may be surrounded by love, kindness, strength, and peace.  That they receive the support they need and that they will be fiercely devoted to their baby girl or boy and choose life for them.

2. Time to be buried under paperwork- we need to update clearances, reference letters, medical forms, financial forms, our home study, our profile book. Pray that we can wade through it.

3. Pray that the Lord would provide financially.  Our case manager shared with us that they are still currently looking at adoption situations around $25,000-$35,000.  That's a big number, but we have an even bigger God.

4. Pray for patience.  We were incredibly lucky, blessed, in the right place at the right time- however you want to describe it- with Wesley's adoption.  We have no idea how adoption #2 will pan out.

There are so many verses and songs that resonated within me-before, during, and after we adopted Wes.  The song below has been clanging around in my heart for a while. These lyrics constantly play on repeat whenever my mind goes to the process of adopting again and how God has worked in our lives over the past few years.

The Lord our God is ever faithful
Never changing through the ages
From this darkness
You will lead us
And forever we will say
You're the Lord our God

Promise maker, promise keeper
You finish what You begin
Our provision through the desert
You see it through ‘til the end
You see it through ‘til the end

In the silence, in the waiting
Still we can know You are good
All Your plans are for Your glory
Yes, we can know You are good
Yes, we can know You are good

We won't move without You
We won't move without You
You're the light of all
And all that we need
